Blazing lights in the night sky,
The smell of pungent smoke,
Red, yellow, blue and green,
The lights flash over me,
Yet, a smile is all I can muster
Melancholy,
Underneath a velvet shadow I stand,
Immersed in this festive twilight
There is a silent hollow inside me,
Cavernous, deep, dark
I think of only her,
Her smile as she left,
Away from me forever,
And after we shall meet
I want to feel the sorrow,
The immensity of my loss,
But how can I ?
93 years lived!
A beautiful joyous life
I miss her now,
Her wrinkled skin,
her soft hands,
Her gentle heart
And then I realize, from within me,
Her eyes were Light
Bright and radiant
Only they will cure my darkness,
Soon......
