She said it to him first,
Those three little words,
And like all those scorched before,
He was scared,
But seasons passed in warmth,
His heart bloomed again,
Till one day those words,
Became his truth again,
When he gently let it out,
A smile twinkled in her eyes,
Bliss and rapture followed,
That comfort of the effortless,
Then come adversity,
The bane of the unsure,
And in a flash,
She was gone,
Looking back at it now,
He should have known,
She did not lie,
When she said those words,
She just never knew what they meant to him,
She just doesn't know what they meant at all.
